Our Regular Crinums and Similar Bulbs!

Tons of pure white flowers at Father's Day! Which is a great thing, as men seem to really like this plant. Neat slightly arching, apple green leaves stay less than three feet. Very cold hardy!

Spectacular rich pink, almost flamingo color. Tall, erect flowers mid-May - mid-June. My Momma loves the solid, consistant flower color. Beautiful popping up through spring perennials. Rare in Gardens.

Tall, erect scapes arise just after Mother's Day from elegant, narrow leaves. White with pale pink markings. Slightly fragrant. Flowers to 3 feet, foliage a little less. Looks great with purple larkspur and late spring poppies.Well, half native. One parent of this old standard is C. americanum, which occurs in our coastal swamps. The other parents adds a ton of cold hardiness --- zone 6 or possibly 5?
Could we call this a half-breed-native Crinum?

Lots of flower on each scape. Flowers are rich ruby pink in bud and on the outside of the bud, but they open to show off distintly striped petals. Unlike most striped crinum (which are white or pale pink with dark stripes) Parfait is rich pink, getting darker and more cherry lollipop pink toward the center of each petal. You get an almost ridged effect. Parfait is a great name, reflecting the colors AND the sugary sweet night time fragrance. We've grown this for years as Parfait, but now some experts say this is really worselyi.

Flowers striped like milk and wine, starting in late May. Beautiful from the get go as buds emerge as slender, hooked, green tinted tubes. We've tested this new variety in the ground for four years. Leaves make a compact clumps, less than 2 feet tall. Shipping is $5.

Flowers are a rich, burgundy pink often called red. Flowers start in June then sporadically through the summer and fall. Glossy, kelly green leaves.

Flowers white with a pale pink stripe. Tall strapy apple-green leaves. This is usually one of our late to flower plants--- July and August. Named for the unfortunately defunct bar in Allendale County, SC.

Striped flowers in mid June. Apple green foliage. This Milk & Wine lily, was common in old gardens, but new trends made it rare. The stripe varies from pink to burgundy. Our form is a rich, deep burgundy. This is a new size for us! A bit smaller than our normal size, really healthy, 3 year old bulbs!

Similar to Crinum 'Ellen Bosanquet' but this plant is smaller. Deep pink to red flowers. Flowers open out wide for a dramatic display. Great for perennial borders or even containers. Also makes a great cut flower. Grows 3- 4 feet, blooms June - August.

Flowers are shell pink with richer pink buds and sweet fragrance. Strong, erect stalks, makes a great cut flower. Glossy, kelly green leaves. This crinum flowers more than any other variety, from June, through fall.

We're not sure what this is as it could be C. moorei or C. powellii but since it isn't exactly either, we call it by where it was found...on Moore Pond. Flowers are shell pink and stand up high above narrow leaves. Flowers start July 4th. Tolerates part shade and thrives right on the edge of ponds. Glossy narrow leaves that are tidy and elegant.

Also know as the Orange River Lily. Flowers most in March, April and May then sporadically though the summer and fall. Flowers are white, pink or striped. Grows well in ditches or wet areas. Beautiful gray leaves curve and twist among other plants.

Flowers have pointed petals white with a pale blush of pink in the morning. 5 to 6 feet tall in July. Has upright, fountain like foliage that makes a great focal point.

Thin upright leaves defy gravity, sort of arching, but not falling over. Topped in June with more architectural amazement -- falling white petals and a fireworks display of dancing anthers. Loves wettish soil but grows strongly in our field of normal garden soil. 3 bulbs for $22

Elegant, fragrant spider flowers. For the Night Garden - also looks great in the morning. Plant in a dryish place, mix with other perennials, goes dormant in late summer.

White spider lliy. Exotic white flowers held high above leaves. Always flowers for the fourth of July! Foliage is much more compact than a Crinum and looks like a glossy Amaryllis leaf. Planting instructions and cultivation is the same as for a Crinum.

Connoisseur Crinums
(These are rare plants! The size of these bulbs is not related to the price!)

The tallest, longest most erect, a statement like no other crinum. Erect leaves to 3 feet, topped in late July by 10 or more 7" pink trumpets. Very Limited this year. .

Flowers beautiful shell pink in June. But the killer thing about this is it's tall, erect flowers. In the picture above, notice that my left hand is on this plant, while my right is on a young Cecil. Low, tight foliage makes this perfect for containers or interplanting with pale yellow day lilies. Flowers are big and showy too!
